After seeing the reviews in 2013 When I purchased my iMac. I have been a fan every since. I would not be without it.

These days you cant seem to buy anything thats works like advertised, much less work at all. Ever since I bought this app it has worked perfectly. When I upgraded my OS, small speed bump in the functionality, but tech support corrected this IMMEDIATELY. Let me say it again…….IMMEDIATLEY. That in itself is impressive. That being said, 5 stars hands down. It does what it says, and customer / tech support is there if you need it. Thank You for a job well done.

Does wht it claims. I have no complaints.

A good friend of mine who teaches the “Cyber Security” team at a local high school recommended this app a few months ago. I purchased it and absolutely love its ease of use and functionality. I use it every time I exit the internet. You wouldn’t believe all the trash you can pick up just from a few minutes cruising the internet. This app does an amazing job of keeping your computer clean of potential threats and running smooth. I simply can’t give it a higher rating.

Use it after doing and internet browsing. Clear history in my browser and quit browser and then execute PrivacyScan.

I appreciate the capability of this App, but I am constantly told that the current App purchased and download is “Corrupt”, and that I have to re-download and install the App. This have occurred a minimum of 6 times. Very annoying. On most occasions, removing the App, and reinstalling results in the same “Corrupt” App message. Additionally, PrivacyScan frequently does not load unless I am connected to the Internet, and informs me that I am using an alternate laptop to run the App. I am using the same App, but it appears to have issue with the VPN or WiFi Spoof that I use to protect my system and encrypt my traffic via a VPN provider. So, not for the 7th time (I believe), I am uninstalling and reinstalling the PrivacyScan App from the Apple App Store. (OS X 10.10.5).

It appears to do a GREAT job, however, not having been investigated by any gov’t org, one cannot be sure of its efficacy.

Great app. perferctly does the job.I use this app on a daily base to get rid of flash cookies and tracking junks in my browsers. It has an option of standard delete or secure shredding with as many as 35 passes. It can also clear your finder history.

It is difficult to tell what this app has done for my computer (a Mac Mini) after it runs because it closes immediately upon finishing. Today, April 12, 2016, I ran PrivacyScan and after it finished, I ran Cleaner. CCleaner found and removed many more files. Here are some of the files missed by PrivacyScan. 11.3 MB of Firefox Internet Cache 327 KB of Firefox Site Preferences 131 KB of Opera Internet History 369 MB of Miscellaneous Cached files I’d say that’s a rather startling number of files for PrivacyScan to have missed. I’m not suggesting PrivacyScan doesn’t work to remove a lot of garbage. I am saying perhaps PrivacyScan is just ONE of SEVERAL cleaners needed to remove unwanted files from the Mac.

Very neat app that I have been using several yrs. Does what it claims Problem is it is incredibly SLOW! After surfing web with Safari for a few hrs. the “ Safari WebKit Cache” just took well over an hour to clean. Other issues cleaned quickly but this one is painful & can’t use Safari while it’s running. Basically have to start the scan then go away for couple hrs. Frustrating & seems like newer vs. are slower that earlier ones; hopefully this means it is doing a better job. Despite thsi comnplaint I do like the program and use it regularly on my macs
